3. Homeworks

Groups

All students will be split into groups for homeworks. Each group will have 2 or 3 students. The groups will be randomly generated by TAs.

Submission

The entire group should submit a single pdf file with solutions to the provided dropbox link. For each problem, the submission must include sentences in English.

If the group consist of students Jane Austen, Ada Lovelace, and Carl Gauss, their submission of the homework 1 has to have this name.

The names of students must be ordered in alphabetical order of their last names.

Deadline

The deadline to submit homework \(i\) is 11:00AM on the day of the lecture \(i+1\).

Grading

The TAs will grade the homework and all group members will receive the same scores and the same comments for their work.

4. Final

Time and length

The final exam will be during the last, 9th, meeting. It will be between 7PM and 10PM. The final will last for 3 hours. At the end of the final, there will be 15 minutes grace period. During the 15 minute grace period, the students will not be allowed to work on problems. They will only be allowed to create the pdf file with solutions and to submit the file at the provided dropbox link.

The name of the file during the final exam must be FinalLastnameFirstname.pdf.

Rules

The final exam must be completed individually. Collaboration is not permitted. Students are not allowed to use calculators, notes, computer assistance, AI tools, or any outside help.

Each version of the final exam will contain different problems. Students are not allowed to show or share their questions with anyone.

Each problem must be accompanied by explanations written in complete English sentences. These explanations will be used to verify whether the student followed the rules and to detect potential use of AI. Failure to include English explanations will be considered evidence of a violation of the exam rules.
